1:1 Support
Personalised hypnotherapy and coaching to help tweens and teens feel calmer, more confident, and more like themselves.
Why Support Matters
Growing up in today’s world isn’t easy. Schoolwork, friendships, big emotions, and future plans can leave young people feeling overwhelmed – especially if they’re anxious, neurodivergent, or navigating big changes.
Does your young person:
- Feel anxious or overwhelmed by school or social life?
- Struggle with focus, motivation, or managing emotions?
- Get caught in unhelpful habits or negative self-talk?
- Lack confidence, even when they’re doing their best?
This isn’t about “fixing” them. It’s about offering the right support, so they can feel calmer, stronger, and more capable – in their own way.
This is where I can help
There are SO many areas we can work on…
Every young person is different, but common focus areas include:
- Anxiety and emotional regulation
- Confidence and self-esteem
- Exam stress and school pressure
- Friendships and social dynamics
- Unhelpful habits and perfectionism
- Motivation, planning and focus
- Sleep struggles, phobias, or low mood
- Navigating transitions and big changes
My Approach
Each session is tailored to your young person’s age, attention span, and learning style. I use a blend of hypnotherapy, coaching, and practical, brain-based tools – designed to be creative, engaging, and neuro-inclusive.
Together, we’ll help them:
- Calm their nervous system and reduce anxiety
- Break unhelpful cycles and build healthier habits
- Strengthen resilience, confidence, and focus
- Discover tools that fit their brain and their life
Hypnotherapy for Tweens & Teens
Hypnotherapy offers a calm, creative way to work with the subconscious mind – easing anxiety, shifting unhelpful beliefs, and building inner confidence.
As an accredited Hypno4Children™ Practitioner, I use approaches developed specifically for younger brains, including:
- MindHack: reduce anxiety, build emotional regulation, and strengthen wellbeing.
- StudyCalm: calmer exam prep and stress-free study habits
Executive Function Coaching
Executive functions are the brain’s “self-management” system. They help with focus, organisation, planning, emotional regulation, and getting things done. These skills are still developing in young people, especially those who are anxious, overwhelmed, or neurodivergent.
Executive Function Coaching helps them to:
- Understand how their brain works
- Build systems to make school and life easier
- Grow independence and self-leadership
Brain-Friendly Resources
Alongside 1:1 sessions, I offer bite-sized, self-paced toolkits designed for tweens, teens, and their parents or carers.
These Mini-Labs focus on everyday challenges like anxiety, motivation, and school transitions – helping families use these tools at home.

Kind Words
“My daughter age 9 was finding the transition to Y5 tough and was struggling with noise, organisation and navigating friendship issues. Kate helped my daughter with a range of techniques to find calm and see the positives around her and the good in herself. My daughter’s ability to calm herself and her confidence have benefited enormously. In the words of my daughter “Kate is really nice and she has fun methods”.”
ARIANA
“Thank you sooooo much for the session on Wednesday. We were astonished when he used the technique again by himself last night, and it has been so helpful.”
SOPHIE
“I couldn’t thank you enough for your support and helping me move some issues forward and learn new ways to cope.”
WILL
“Kate is incredible. I cannot say enough good things about her. She has worked with my daughter for about a year and I have seen such a transformation from an anxious, unhappy child to a child that feels relaxed, confident in who she is and able to deal with situations calmly. Kate has given my daughter many tools to use and the personal meditations have been brilliant. I am so grateful that we found Kate and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone. She has literally changed our lives for the better.”

Frequently Asked Questions
What is 1:1 coaching like at BBL?
1:1 coaching at BBL offers personalised support tailored to your young person’s specific needs. Through executive function coaching and advanced hypnotherapy, I help young people navigate anxiety, overwhelm, and other challenges. Each session is designed to provide tools and strategies that are aligned with your young person’s unique brain, focusing on emotional resilience, confidence-building, and stress management.
How can 1:1 coaching help my young person?
Every young person faces their own unique set of challenges, and 1:1 coaching addresses these challenges in a way that works for them. Whether your young person struggles with focus, managing big emotions, or feeling overwhelmed by school and life, we’ll work together to identify practical strategies that align with their strengths and needs. Over time, your young person will build confidence, emotional regulation skills, and a greater sense of self-trust.
My young person is already overwhelmed. How soon will they start feeling better?
It’s completely understandable to want to see immediate improvements, and while every young person is different, the tools and strategies we work on together often help reduce overwhelm fairly quickly. Small shifts in mindset and approach can lead to noticeable changes within the first few sessions, but sustained results come as we continue to build confidence, resilience, and coping strategies over time. Progress may feel gradual, but with each session, your young person will develop a more robust toolkit for handling life’s ups and downs.
Is 1:1 coaching suitable for young people who are neurodivergent?
Absolutely! Executive function coaching is a neuro-inclusive process, and works with your young person’s unique profile of strengths and challenges. Whether your young person is neurodivergent or has specific learning differences, the sessions are tailored to suit their individual needs and preferences.
How long are the 1:1 session, and how often do they occur?
Sessions typically last for 45 minutes, although they can be shorter or longer depending on your young person’s age and needs.
We start by scheduling the sessions weekly, with the plan to swap to fortnightly and then monthly sessions, once your young person is making progress on their goals and feels more capable of using the tools on their own.
How does hypnotherapy work with young people?
Young people already spend a lot of their life in a hypnotic state.
The depth of their natural hypnosis depends on their age; with children under the age of 7 predominately in a theta brainwave state (equivelent to sleep or deep meditation), and from 7 to 12 years in alpha (light meditation or relaxation), and then over 12 moving into beta (focused consciousness).
This means that they are highly suggestable and respond well to hypnotherapy.
They don’t need to be guided into hypnosis, like an adult would, they can simply close their eyes and use their imagination.
I combine hypnotherapy with other evidence-based modalities like neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), tapping, positive psychology and mindset coaching to quickly and effectively make long-lasting changes.
How do I know if this is the right fit for my young person?
If your young person struggles with anxiety, overwhelm, or executive function challenges (such as focus, organisation, and time management), this could be a great fit. 1:1 coaching provides a supportive space to explore emotions, improve coping mechanisms, and develop long-term strategies that help them thrive.
If you’re unsure, book a free call to discuss your young person’s needs and goals, and how coaching could help.
Do I attend the session with my young person?
Before we have the first session, we can talk on the phone (or Zoom) to discuss whatever your young person would like help with, and you can ask any questions you may have.
Generally if the young person is under the age of 16, then a parent or guardian should attend with them, but please contact me if you have any concerns about this.
If you are staying for the session, my focus will be directed to your young person but you are very welcome to join in with the exercises and visualisations though!
How do I track my young person's progress?
We will work together to set clear goals and milestones and regularly track your young person’s progress against these metrics.
If you attend sessions with your young person, you’ll have visibility of all these metrics during the session.
If your young person has sessions on their own, then we will agree with them on which information they are happy to share, and this will be shared with you in order to track progress and ensure you have regular updates.
How do I get started?
Simply book a free call or contact me via email or message.
We’ll discuss your young person’s needs and goals, and answer any questions you have. You are also welcome to book a second free call for your young person to meet me too.
Once you’re ready to start, we’ll agree on a schedule for the sessions and book in the first session.
